Biography

As the firm’s founding partner, John has served the legal needs of Rhode Islanders since 1973.  Over those nearly five (5) decades, he has helped countless clients in areas such as business law, planning and zoning, land use and real estate, wills and trusts, and probate and estate, among others. 

In addition to serving his clients, John served the citizens of Rhode Island for more than forty (40) years as both a State Representative and a Member of the Rhode Island Senate.  His legal knowledge and ability to get things done led his peers to elect him to various leadership positions within the Legislature, including but not limited to, that of Senate President Pro Tempore, Senate Majority Leader, Senate Majority Whip, and Senate Judiciary Chairman.  He continues to utilize his experiences in both government and the legal field to best serve his clients.
